One by One

Kenlee is doing great! We are meeting a lot of milestones and one by one we are going to get these wires and tubes off of her. Here is just a little highlights from last night and today. 

• No Breathing tube!!!
• Does not like laying on her back
• Tried to roll over while nurse had her on her side
• Took cath out
• Acted like she was hungry
• Had pacifier with sugar water (thanks to nurse Sarah for making her paci on a stick)
• Did not like having a blanket on her, kicked it off
• Had to have heater on her hence the no blanket 
• Had X-ray taken
• Kicked her bracelet with her name off of her ankle 
• Was taken off of the highflo oxygen 
• Had a bottle 
• SMILED
• Did raspberries 
• Sucked thumb 
• POOPED

During the morning rounds they talked about taking her off all her meds slowly and removing several wires and tubes. And if she is good with that moving her down to a step down room tomorrow!!!

Today was good! Mom was able to get some rest and shower at the hotel while dad was with Kenlee. 

Here is her name outside her room. Thanks to the night nurses for making it for her. 

She also has a family board! We loaded it up with Kenlee’s family! 
She loved finding her thumb! 

I love seeing her improve hour by hour and even minute by minute. She is still hurting some but I can tell it is getting so much better. I know tomorrow might be bad while they remove the chest tubes. They say that is what hurts these babies the most. I want it out but don’t want it to hurt her. 

I will update tomorrow night as well. Going to try and get some sleep eye while Kenlee is as well.
