Different View

Kenlee was able to be moved out of the CICU into a step down room. She is doing so great! They even said we might be looking at leaving here Sunday or Monday. Just have to see how she is improving. This is my new view for the night.

A much different view and atmosphere here. Not one nurse to patient ratio. Went from the $3,000 babysitter to the $1,000 babysitter. I get to change the dirty diaper instead of the nurse. But most of all we get to hold her. That was the best feeling today.

Here is the highlights that got us here today.

  • X-ray in middle of night
  • Found right upper lung lobe is not as inflated and they need to do treatments
  • Removed chest tube and wires in heart and on heart
  • Another X-ray
  • Treatment for lung
  • Took IV out going to artery
  • Moved to step down room
  • Held Kenlee
  • Carried her to her new room

  • Weighed 10.9 pounds!!!
  • Took oxygen off
  • Held her with no machines or monitors

We are so happy that she is doing so good. She is a fighter!

Jeremy’s uncle made Kenlee some outfits to wear after her surgery. They tie in the front so that it does not hurt to put on clothes. Every nurse has said something about them and loves them. Kenlee is also enjoying her clothes to keep her warm.

I hope that tomorrow is as good as today. I pray that the treatments have been helping her lung. Thanks again for your prayers and good night.
